The International Symposium on Frontier Urban Underground Space Detection and Environmental Geophysics Technologies(UUSEG2018)

The application of fine shallow underground space detection and environmental geophysics technologies has become a frontier research subject for the geophysical exploration sector of China. In order to promote and exchange new methods, new skills, new instruments and new applications of geophysics in urban environmental and underground space detection, School of Geophysics and Information Technology, CUGB, the Committee of Geophysical Technology, Chinese Geophysical Society, and Hengda Century Geophysics Technology Co., Ltd held an “International Sympodium on Frontier Urban Underground Space Detection and Environmental Geophysics Technologies” in Beijing on November 22-23, 2018.

The symposium comprised special academic presentations by renowned experts and engineers, academic exchanges by representatives from experienced and established exploration institutions, and theme discussions among experts.

The symposium was attended by 155 people from 75 institutions of geological and mineral bureau, non-ferrous metals, metallurgy, coal fields, railways, water conservancy, Chinese academy of sciences, seismological bureau, colleges and universities and engineering company.The participants agreed that the international symposium on advanced technologies of urban underground space exploration and environmental geophysics was a great success and played a good role in promoting the development of urban environment and underground space exploration.
